Workshop Alert! Workshop Alert! Workshop
Alert!
A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words… so is
The Care and Handling of Photographs in your Collection
Have you ever opened up a box of photographs in your collection and
wondered just what the heck are those?!? Do the words Albumen or silver
gelatin print, Daguerreotype, and tintype sound like some kind of weird
foreign medication? How should you describe its condition once you figure
out what it is? And what are the best ways to handle, display, and store
it? If these are questions you have found yourself asking, this is the
workshop for you! Join us as three experts help attendees learn to identify
photographic processes, describe common condition issues, and discuss
best practices for handling, storage, and display of photography collections.

Carter Museum
John Rohrbach, Curator of Photographs, Amon Carter Museum
